Saturday 7th August

Shamrock Rovers' U19 returned to winning ways against Sligo Rovers on Saturday, with a 1-0 win against the Bit O'Red at our Roadstone Academy Complex. Rovers were comfortable throughout the game, and a Cian Curtis strike put the Hoops into the lead before half-time.

Rovers continued to see the majority of the ball in the second-half, but were unable to add to the scoreline, as it finished 1-0 in Roadstone. Rovers now find themselves in second position in the U19 EA Sports League of Ireland Group B table after seven games, just one point behind league leaders Derry City.

It's a top-of-the-table clash next weekend when Rovers make the trip up North to take on first-placed Derry City, as Rovers look to push on after this weekend's win over Sligo Rovers.

U17 Women:

Women's U17 EA Sports League of Ireland Group A

Saturday 7th August

Sean Kelly's U17 Women's side maintained their unbeaten start to their U17 EA Sports League of Ireland season with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Sligo Rovers on Saturday afternoon. Hoops midfielder Anna Casey scored the only goal of the game as Rovers defended well, with some exceptional goalkeeping, to bring all three points back to the capital.

Rovers remain at the top of the Women's U17 EA Sports League of Ireland Group A table, one point ahead of Galway United in second place. The Hoops are currently unbeaten after seven league games (winning six and drawing one), with an impressive goal difference of +26.

Next up for the Hoops is Dublin Derby clash against Bohemians next weekend. The clash will take place at our Roadstone Academy Complex, with the exact date and kick-off time to-be-confirmed.


Shamrock Rovers 7-0 Wexford FC

U15 EA Sports League of Ireland Group D

Sunday 8th August

Jason Shields' U15 side had a fantastic win against Wexford FC at the Shamrock Rovers Roadstone Academy Complex on Sunday afternoon. Cian Dillon and Odhran McLoughlin both netted themselves a hat-trick each, with midfielder Roland Uzoma also getting his name on the scoresheet.

Hard luck to the Wexford FC side, who have an abundance of talent in their squad this season and will no doubt give Rovers another battle when the sides play each other again in the future.

Rovers find themselves on top of the U15 EA Sports League of Ireland Group D table, with just one league game remaining before league advances into its cup and shield stages.

Next up for our U15 side is a short trip across the city to take on UCD, who are currently sitting in second position. This game takes place next weekend, with the date and kick-off time to-be-confirmed in due course.


Wexford FC 1-2 Shamrock Rovers

U14 EA Sports League of Ireland Group D

Graham Gartland's side continued their unbeaten start to their U14 EA Sports League of Ireland campaign with a tough 2-1 win against a strong Wexford FC side on Saturday afternoon.

Hoops attackers Darragh Marshall and Ike Orazi both got their names on the scoresheet, as Rovers remain at the top of the U14 EA Sports League of Ireland table, with just one game remaining in the league stage.

UCD are the visitors to our Roadstone Academy complex next weekend, as Gartland's side look to maintain their unbeaten streak in the league.
