MATCH PREVIEW: Finn Harps vs Shamrock Rovers

Finn Harps vs Shamrock Rovers
Friday 1st July
SSE Airtricity League Premier Division
Finn Park
8pm
Shamrock Rovers make the long journey to Ballybofey to take on Ollie Horgan's Finn Harps this coming Friday, as the Hoops look to secure their second win of the season in the Donegal venue.
Finn Harps are still looking to pick up their first points of the season against Stephen Bradley's side, after the hoops defeated Harps 3-0 in Ballybofey in April & 3-1 in Tallaght in May already this campaign.
Currently sitting in ninth position in Premier Division table, Finn Harps come into Friday's game on the back of a sensational comeback against St. Patrick's Athletic last week. Being 2-0 down with three minutes to go, an 88th minute finish from Jose Carillo halved the deficit before a dramatic 96th minute goal from Ethan Boyle shared the spoils between the sides.
As for the visitors, Shamrock Rovers come into this weekends game on the back of a double Dublin Derby delight weekend, defeating Bohemians 1-0 in Tallaght on Friday night before beating St. Patrick's Athletic 2-1 in Inchicore on Monday evening - a game that was rescheduled due to both sides involvement in European competition next week.
Despite Harps' incredible comeback last Friday against Tim Clancy's side, the Donegal side have only won one game in their last ten - coming nine weeks ago as Ollie Horgan's men defeated Shelbourne 1-0 in Finn Park. Rovers come into this game looking to maintain their winning momentum before welcoming Maltese champions Hibernians FC to Tallaght on Tuesday for their UEFA Champions League First Qualifying Round 1st leg.
Rovers come into Friday's clash with a ten-point advantage at the top of the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division table - albeit having played two more games on Dundalk in second place. Finn Harps sit just three points ahead of bottom side UCD at the foot of the table.
Oliver Moran is the man in the middle of Friday's game in Ballybofey with Robert Clarke & Wayne McDonnell as his assistants. Neil Doyle will act as the fourth official.
