Loan Report - August 6th-8th

This weekend just gone saw only one of Shamrock Rovers' three players out on loan get game time in the SSE Airtricity League.

Brandon Kavanagh (Bray Wanderers)

Bray Wanderers 3-1 Wexford FC

The Carlisle Grounds

Friday 6th August

Brandon Kavanagh remained in the Bray Wanderers starting-eleven, as The Seagulls defeated Wexford FC 3-1 on Friday evening at The Carlisle Grounds. Brandon played the opening 76 minutes, before being replaced by former hoop Gary Shaw for Gary Cronin's side.

Brandon continued to be a constant threat for the home side, finding space in between the Wexford midfield and defence, and always looking to pass that killer pass in behind the Wexford back-line.

After 25 minutes, Kavanagh played in Bray striker Darren Craven through on goal, but Craven missed a one-on-one opportunity to keep the scoreline level - the closest Brandon got to getting an assist on Friday.

Next up for Brandon and his Bray side is another home match against First Division high-flyers Treaty United. Kick-off against the Limerick side is at 7:30pm this coming Friday (13th August).

Dean Williams & Darragh Nugent (Longford Town)

Shamrock Rovers 1-0 Longford Town

Tallaght Stadium

Sunday 8th August

Both Dean Williams and Darragh Nugent were absent from the Longford Town matchday squad in their 1-0 loss to Shamrock Rovers over the weekend, with the likelihood that this was included in their contract agreements that they were unable to participate in any competitive games against their parent club.

Williams & Nugent should return to the Longford squad for their next SSE Airtricity League Premier Division game - a home game against Ollie Horgan's Finn Harps side next Saturday (14th August). Kick-off at Bishopsgate stadium is at 7:30pm
